Time For Some Coastal Caravan Stories

While my Camper Mom is taking a break from sending out daily Postcards, I am large and in charge of the blogging duties for the next week or so.  Boy do I have some Stories to tell you about my two week beach odyssey down the coast!

When Momma Sharon hatched this idea of a coastal caravan starting in South Carolina and ending in Georgia, I knew it was going to be fun with a capital F and it was!  My plan is to tell you about the campgrounds and campers, Mom's peeps and their adventures.  So plop down in a comfy chair and drop by for a Story or two of the 2014 Coastal Caravan.

We'll have a groovy time . . . just like this cool photo of me!!  Until tomorrow, always remember . . .

I Am SO Excited!

Happy Sunday morning my friends.  Let me start off by saying, "I am SO excited!"  About what you may ask.  About my Coastal Caravan that hits the road tomorrow!!

Daisy and her Camper Mom Crystal will be rolling in to town today.  I get to have a sleepover with that pretty little yellow camper this evening before we hit the road for Myrtle Beach tomorrow morning.

Mom's Coastal Caravan buttons are ready . . .

She made awesome coastal chalkboards for everyone . . .

Everyone will have an hour and a half of beach music to listen to on the coastal cruise . . .

Beginning tonight, Momma Sharon will be sending out her Postcards for everyone to pick up.  It tickles her to death that family and friends follow along in our fun together.

Thanks for dropping by today for a Sunday Story.  I'll be talking to you from the road!!  Until then, always remember . . .

Gettin' Close To The Coast

Hey camper friends!!  I am starting to get pretty excited about my upcoming trip to the South Carolina and Georgia coasts on my Coastal Caravan. Yep, I'm heading for the beaches . . . four beaches to be exact.

This adventure will include 12 old camping buddies and 2 brand new ones. Momma Sharon is excited for the same reason.  She will be hooking up, caravan-style, with lots of her friends and also meeting some new ones.

Our first stop will be Myrtle Beach State Park on Monday, October 20. From there we will mosey on down Highway 17 to Charleston for four days at James Island County Park which is one of my all-time favorite campgrounds.  I am so excited about our third location . . . Hunting Island State Park.  All my friends who have camped there just rave about the place.

We will wrap up our Caravan down at Jekyll Island Campground in Georgia.  Thirteen days, four campgrounds, sun and seafood, good friends.  Now you can see why I'm so excited.

Until I hit the road to the coast with lots of Stories to share, always remember . . .

W-I-D-E Angle Shot

Mornin' camping peeps!  Boy it sure is chilly here in the foothills under my T@Bport.  I hope you pulled out your blankets last night.

Over the weekend, Momma Sharon tried out the panoramic feature on her new camera for the first time.  Over the summer, she had to retire the old Panasonic that she loved so much and get a newer model.  She doesn't like the new white one nearly as much as the old red one, but with all the boogers on the inside lens, she didn't have much choice.

So she sat inside and snapped a couple wide angle shots of me.  Here is one of them . . .

She wanted to get in some practice before we head off to the coast on our big October caravan.  This weekend she and Susan are going up to the Wee Cabin and while there, they are going to scoot over to Pride RV Park for a big vintage trailer rally on Saturday.  I'm thinking she will get to use that pano feature a bunch there!

Have a great Hump Day everyone and I'll share another Short Story with you tomorrow.  Until then, always remember . . .

Camping With Gracie

Mornin' everyone and happy autumn!

I got to take an unexpected camping trip last weekend all because The Coffee Cup has a little leak over her front window.  So sorry for her, so happy for me!!  Our destination was the Crosswinds Campground at Jordan Lake State Park near Pittsboro.  I camped here several years ago with Momma Sharon and Murphy the Camper Dog.  This time Baby Gracie came along for her very first solo trip.

That's me way back there in site 69.  It was a nice site, kinda on a corner, with lots of shade . . . perfect for the three of us.

Gracie got to hang out in her little portable pen, sit on Momma Sharon's footstool when visiting with friends, and even go out to eat lunch a couple of times in Pittsboro with Mom's camping buddy, Susan.

As for me, I scored a new camping decal for my door and enjoyed beautiful autumn days with Mom and her friends!

Thanks so much for dropping by on this first day of fall.  I'm turning my sights to the Coastal Caravan in October.  Until then, always remember . . .
