It's All About The Shirt . . .

There's been a bit of Blue Ridge Fever happening over on Facebook since this morning.  The rally tees that lots of folks have ordered from CafePress started arriving today.  Aunt Becky was the first to announce that hers showed up in her mailbox and it wasn't long until Cousin Rob posted this announcement . . .

"Yup we're R-pod peeps, yup we're crashing the T@B rally, and yup it really is . . . 'all about the shirt . . . "

Before I knew it, there were posts left and right about those BRR shirts . . . photos too!  That's Kristi modeling her new long-sleeved tee with a small logo.

It only took my Camper Mom eight years to figure out there was a simpler way to get rally tees out to interested Blue Ridgers and this year she pulled it off.  I'm so proud of her!

I am getting closer and closer to seeing my old friends and meeting lots of new ones up in Townsend, TN.  We are one month out and the Fever is starting to build.  Before then, I'm headed to the coast on Sunday for some R & R, Spring Break-style, with my buddy Pod.  I'll be telling you all about it for sure.  Until then, always remember  . . .

An Itty Bitty Mod

Evenin' everyone!  I hope you had a good weekend and that you maybe got a little Spring camping trip in too!  The flowers and trees are popping out all over the place here in the Foothills and that makes me happy.

Something else that makes me happy is the itty bitty mod that Momma Sharon got for me.  It's just a wee thing, but oh so nice.  In last month's Trailer Life magazine, she saw an article about a quartet of simple products that make trailer hitching convenient.  They are from Fastway and she decided right then and there I needed three out of the four!

Last weekend while we were at the Kings Mountain Kick-Off, she pulled one out and put it to work. The Ball Cover slips right over the Pilot's greasy ball when unhitched.  What makes it special is that it stays attached to the ball when I'm hooked up.  Check it out . . .

Another cool thing about this cover is that it slides on and off easily. My Camper Mom used to fuss and cuss because the old Walmart one had so much suction, it was hard to get off.  Plus, she doesn't have to store it in a plastic bag during travel because it's always tethered to the mount!

It doesn't take much to make me happy and here's the proof.  On Sunday, I'm headed back out on the road for a week of camping down on the coast.  I'm sure I'll have some Stories to tell you this week as we get ready to roll.  Until then, always remember . . .

Murphy & Me

My first camping trip of the 2015 has come and gone.  My Kings Mountain Kick-Off was special for a whole bunch of reasons!  What made it especially sweet was that Murphy the Camper Dog came along. You see, just a month ago, Murphy was really, really sick.  Momma Sharon was pretty worried about her and was scared that something bad was happening.

After a bunch of tests, an expensive surgery, some healing medicines, and a whole lot of love, Murphy made a complete recovery.  She traditionally gets to camp with us on the first outing each Spring, but I have a feeling that Momma Sharon wants her to come on every trip this year.  That's OK with me because we've camped together since the beginning!

Murphy loves to ride, likes to take walks around the campground, and is happy anywhere she is as long as it's with my Camper Mom.  That makes me happy too.  Here's a quick look at our trip to Kings Mountain State Park last weekend.  We are a couple of happy campers for sure!!

I'm already getting excited about my next trip a week from Sunday.  I get to camp with Momma Sharon, Murphy, and Pod & The Cousins! Until then, always remember . . .
