I may be all buttoned up for my long-winter's nap, but Mom gave the the laptop so I could write a special Story for you today. It's pretty incredible, this Incrateable that I want to tell you about!
A couple of Saturdays ago my Camper Mom and Aunt Becky headed out into the countryside between Newton and Maiden in search of the Devine Family Farm. It was a drizzly morning and not really the kind of morning to be adventuring out for a fall festival. One look at the muddy road leading into the farm gave them second thoughts, but they were intrigued.
After finding a place to park on the grass, out of the mud, they strolled among the vendor tents spread out in the field. There was one in particular that caught Mom's eye . . . Incrateables.
A local fellow, Todd Reed from Catawba, had dozens and dozens of milk crates with a variety of cool fabric-covered lids on them. BINGO . . . the perfect footstool that Mom and I have been looking for for oh so long to go in between my bench seats!
She and Aunt Becky found the perfect fabric to compliment my Aztec Gold interior, but Mr Todd only had that lid to fit a wooden box, not a Sterilite crate. So Mom put in a special order for a black crate with that special fabric. Yesterday we got a call that it was ready. Mr. Todd and Mom had a rendezvous at the Police Department for the delivery at 4:30!
And here is our incredible Incrateable . . .
17"L x 14"W x 10"H, black, milk crate with a padded fabric-covered lid |
Strong enough to sit on & prop your feet up on |
Flip over the lid for a flat surface to eat, play, or work off of |
Use the lid for a lap cushion for our MacBook |
Take the lid off & use the crate to store stuff |
Pretty cool huh? I told Mom we could just leave it on my floor for travel and it would always be ready to use. No more spilled coffee, no more losing pens between my cushions, no more trying to find something sturdy and flat to write on. If we take the lid off and flip it over, we can play cards. Mom could even carry it to a campfire and tote a little blanket inside of it! Incredible . . . Incrateable!
Well, thanks so much for dropping by today for my Story. I am working on another one too and until it's time to publish it, always remember . . .
"Peace, Love, & Incredible Incrateables"
