Merry T@B Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all my T@B brothers and sisters and all my T@DA cousins!  For those of you up in Alaska and Canada, I hope your camper moms and dads are keeping you dry and warm.  For all of you out in sunny California, I hope your moms and dads are letting you get lots of Vitamin D.  For all of you down in Florida and places like Texas and Arizona, I hope they parked you in a great campground and you got to enjoy a little holiday!

I spent my Christmas Day here in Newton, safe and sound in my T@B-port.  I watched Momma Sharon pick up Aunt Becky and Uncle Roger, load up the Pilot (my tow vehicle) with food and presents and head down to South Carolina for the day.

I'll never forget my first Christmas.  It didn't actually happen in December, but it was still pretty special.  My Camper-Mom gave me presents in April after she brought me home and they were sweeeeeet!  They all matched my splashy lime green and blue exterior.  And five years later, I'm still using them.  Here's what I got...

A Set of Towels And Wash Cloths

A Splashy Beach Towel

My Very Own Set Of Kitchen Utensils

Two Retro Eating Trays

Matching Silverware And Cups

A Big Serving Tray With Handles

Two Sets Of Party Lights For My Awning

Now you can see why I was so excited!  If your camper moms and dads love you as much as my Momma Sharon does, then I know you've gotten some really cool stuff  too!

So Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year too!!  Love, SplashT@B

Where I Live

When Camper-Mom Sharon brought me home, she took me to her house.  I think she was hoping I might fit in the carport, but that wasn't going to happen because the fan on my roof was too tall.  So for a while, I just sat in the driveway.  That was actually pretty cool since she could go in and out and do her decorating with all the lime green and blue stuff she bought for me!

I know I was in the way and Momma Sharon was getting tired of playing fruit-basket-turnover with the cars, so she had a conversation with my Aunt Becky about moving me to her house.  They struck a deal and I went to live in Dogwood Hills.

After a year of living there and having to endure really hot summers and really cold winters with no protection, she told me she wished I had a roof over my head.  That first winter was really scary because of all the heavy snow that was on top of me!

So when spring rolled around, Camper-Mom Sharon talked to Aunt Becky about building a little T@B-port for me...and Becky said it was OK.  So now I have protection during all the seasons!

And that's the story about where I live!  I really, really like being at Aunt Becky's except I don't get to see my Camper Mom every day like before.  But living in my T@B-port is a good trade off and it makes her happy too.

My Story...

I was born in Elkhart, Indiana in 2007.  On the back of a big trailer hauler I made my way east to Marion, North Carolina and joined my brothers and sisters on the lot of Tom Johnson Camping Center.  My number is 2487.  Well actually, that's the last four digits of my VIN number, but my Camper-Mom and other moms and dads like to identify us by just those last four numbers.  I have a sister who lives down in SC and her number is 2486...pretty cool huh?

I really don't remember how many people walked up to me and peeped in my windows, but most of them weren't too crazy about my wild colors.  It was just a matter of time before someone special would come looking for me and take me home.  And sure enough, on March 8, 2007, Sharon found me.  She told me it was love at first sight and I was so happy.  Marcel put a SOLD sign in my window and the following week my Camper-Mom hitched me up and took me home to Newton!

So that's the story about how I got adopted.  Camper-Mom Sharon loves to take pictures of me and I told her that it would be cool if I had my own blog and could show other people those pictures and tell stories of my adventures.  And she made it happen!  Please drop by from time to time and I'll tell you another story.
