Momma Loves Duct Tape

Happy Saturday before the big rally everyone!

Despite the fact that Momma Sharon is busy getting ready for the 6th Annual Blue Ridge Rally this coming week, she took time out today to make something special for ME.  While she was in Lowes this morning getting a few final project supplies, she saw duct tape . . . a funky new duct tape that she knew I would love!

Remember that shiny little trashcan she found last week at Walmart . . .

. . . well take a look at it now!

It's just too groovy for words and I love it!  Before this though, she buckled down with all her tools and supplies to finish the signs for Thursday's Camp Craft.

There's something else I want to show you . . . my special SplashT@B tools.  LOL . . . how many campers do you know with color-coordinated tools in their toolboxes?

Today's Story is just a quick one because we've got work to do around here.  See ya later alligator!!

One Seriously Cool California T@B!

For the last seven years, my Camping Mom has collected little items for me to display.  She has put retro tin signs on my walls, added vintage felt pennants from places I've been to, lined up toy campers on my shelves that look like me, and decorated with my favorite colors.

So when we saw some photos shared on the T@B Facebook page yesterday, it caught our attention!  I have a relative way over in California who is a stylish gray and white on the outside, but wait until you see the inside.  Gary Lozano must really love to decorate too!

Momma Sharon and I are both hoping that Gary will post more photos. We'd love to see the flooring and the door-side wall!

One week from today I'll be rolling into the campground in Townsend, TN for my big rally.  Mom will be taking photos of lots of my cousins there, so you'll be seeing more cool T@B interiors.  I hope you'll check by for more Stories and always remember . . .

Big BRR Travel News

Hey all you Blue Ridge T@Bbers!  I've got wonderful news for those of you traveling to the Blue Ridge Rally from points south, east and west...Highway 441 is open again!

After months of work to repair all the damage due to a big winter storm, the road is ready for travel.  The projected date was in June, but those fellows must have known I wanted it ready by rally time!  So those of you who were hoping to take the scenic route to Townsend, you are now in business!!

I know that Momma Sharon is happy because she had wanted to take that route rather than the curvy nightmare on I-40!  Woohoo!

I'll see you next week and remember . . .

My Momma, The Thief

Happy Friday y'all . . . are you out there camping this weekend?  I sure hope so.  But just in case you aren't, I have an itty bitty Story for you this evening.

When Momma Sharon was roaming around James Island Campground last week visiting with her buddies, she stopped by Campfire Bob and Deb's pad.  She loves looking at how other T@B owners decorate and what homey touches they add.  But I'll let you in on a little secret . . . she's always looking for ideas to snitch.  Yep, my Camper Mom is a thief!!

Take a look at some of my friend Sunny Boy's camping accoutrements (how do you like that big word?!).

Sitting right there in the lower corner of the last two photos is the latest idea that she poached . . . a little trashcan with a lid that opens when you step on the pedal.  Usually Momma Sharon uses a plastic bag and ties it to one of my handles.  I kept trying to convince her it wasn't very chic looking. Thank goodness she finally got that through her thick head!

When she was in Walmart the other day replenishing my supply of Luggable Loo bags, she spotted this sweet, shiny trashcan and that thieving side of her personality kicked into gear!

I think there's a possibility she might wrap it in her splashy duct tape like the Loo, but I kinda like it all shiny.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for dropping by on this Friday evening to hear another one of my Stories!  Have a great weekend everyone and remember . . .

Campground Rating Card

From time to time, Momma Sharon will mention the ratings card that she designed to rate a campground that we've stayed at.  She's been faithfully doing this since our very first night together at Tom Johnson Camping Center's campground way back in the spring of 2007.

She makes note of the campground's amenities, facilities, conditions and then scores each on a scale from 1 to 5.  She told me to tell you that if you want to snitch her idea, it's perfectly fine with her!

I got to spend some quality time with my Camper Mom yesterday as she went through every single one of my interior cabinets.  I think she had forgotten about some of the things that were stashed there. . . tee hee.  After cleaning out four of them, she already had a trash bag full of stuff!  The teacher came sneaking out because she was re-arranging, organizing, and making a written inventory of everything that was staying.  That kind of stuff makes her soooooo happy . . . LOL!

I think she plans on coming back tomorrow to tackle more of my cabinets and who knows what we'll find stashed away in some forgotten corner!

Have a great day everyone and remember . . .

Give Peeps A Chance!

Hey camping peeps!

One week ago today, I was with Momma Sharon and her buddies down at James Island County Park near Charleston.  I was going to post this cute photo for you last Easter Sunday, but the picture of me  underneath the Easter rainbow took center stage.

Now that I'm back home and resting up for my next adventure, here's something for all you camping peeps . . . pun definitely intended!!

Hey Hey From James Island

Hey campers . . . Splash here reporting in from James Island County Park. Momma Sharon is having trouble getting on Postcards, so I told her to let me have the computer reins for a little while.

I am having a fantastic time on my Spring break here in South Carolina. The only thing that would make it better is if Cousin Pod was closer to me. He's over in another loop of the campground and I haven't talked to him since we were on the road together last Friday.

Momma Sharon is having a terrific time with all her T@Bbin' buddies and has said that this is the best campground she's ever stayed in.  I would have to agree that it's pretty sweet . . . bike trails, dog park, picnic shelters, playground, lake, paddle boats, fishing pier, and more.  I'm pretty sure that once we get home next week, she's going to do a whole Postcard on the campground alone.

This morning, she went with Aunts Becky and Trisha and Uncle Rob to The Lost Dog Cafe for breakfast and then they walked down to the pier.  Rob snapped a photo of my Camper Mom and it's so evident that she's one happy camper!

Thanks for stopping by today to see if I had any Stories to tell.  I gotta give a T@B Tour so I'll chat with you later!!
