My New Spring Look

Happy almost Spring everyone!

Momma Sharon got back just before noon today from her weekend with Sisters on the Fly in Pigeon Forge, TN.  She went there for an annual February celebration called "Saddle Up".  It's the biggest western gathering east of the Mississippi and it's full of cowboys and cowgirls, chuck wagons, Dutch oven cooking, fancy boots, and crinoline!

You probably know that my Camper Mom isn't a cowgirl, but she does like cowboy music and poetry, jeans and denim jackets, and all the vintage trailers with a western theme.  That's why I know she had a great time at Saddle Up.  Plus it gave her an opportunity to take lots and lots of photos and send you Postcards From The Road!

She told me that there was one T@B there too!  A brand-spanking-new 2012 cutie pie called "T@BIN Fever".  You know I'm loving that blue trim!!

It won't be long before Momma Sharon will be giving me a spring clean and I know that she has two groovy modifications planned too.

In case you didn't notice, she let me pick out a new Spring theme for my Stories.  I hope you like it!  Have a good week everyone and remember . . .

Come On Spring!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  SplashT@B here with a Short Story for you.

Since we are just a month away from Spring and I'm absolutely busting a gut to get out there and camp, I thought I'd snitch a bit of computer time and share this very Springy collage that Momma Sharon made today featuring her favorite folk artist, Nancy Thomas.  If this doesn't get you in the mood for warmer weather, flowers, and camping, I just don't know what will . . . LOL!

Send a little travel prayer out for my Camper Mom who is heading to Pigeon Forge, TN tomorrow for a big Sisters on the Fly gathering.  She was kinda hoping that Aunt Becky would be able to join her, but that just didn't work out.  She'll be sending out a Postcard tomorrow evening, so check in with her if you have the chance.

I hope you're having a good week and remember . . .

The Secret Is Out

Hey campers!  I hope you've had a good week and an especially sweet Valentine's Day on Thursday.

Do you remember a Story I told you back on January 8th called "Momma Sharon Is Up To Something"?  You can go back and read it if you click HERE.

I finally found out what that was all about and today's Story will let you in on her big secret . . . which isn't a secret any more!  I knew it probably had something to do with the upcoming Blue Ridge Rally and I was right.  I kinda smart like that, tee hee.

At last year's rally, because it was the big 5th Anniversary, my camper mom made camping signs for every single one of the T@Bs, T@DAs, and R-pods that attended.  They were super cute and everyone really liked them.  This year she has something a little different in mind.  Momma Sharon, using that new Dremel Moto-Saw, is making cut-outs in the shape of everyone's trailer.  She's going to prime them, drill holes in them for hanging wire, and will let the Blue Ridgers decorate them to their heart's content.

I think that's going to be so much fun and pretty groovy too!  Momma Sharon will have paint and stencils and beads and wire so everyone can personalize theirs.  In addition to T@Bs and T@DA signs, she's cutting out a Hilander for the Bookmobile, a Bambi for the Silvermine, and 2 R-pods for the Tinker-Pod and my cousin, R&T's Pod.

She's already got 15 orders and is hoping that more folks will sign up for their very own!  All the camper moms and dads are going to gather in The Pavilion at 10:00 on Thursday morning for some artsy-fartsy time together.  I can't wait to see mine, because I know it's going to have a big peace sign hanging on it.  How far out is that?!?!

Here's what her Dremel Moto-Saw actually looks like.  She's got a worktable set up on the deck and it's the perfect place for all that cutting and sanding that she's doing.

This is what the design looks like for all my T@B brothers and sisters.

Here's Momma Sharon working on making the cuts in the plywood.

And look how super cool the cut-out actually is!

Hey, thanks for coming by today to see if I've got another SplashT@B Story to tell.  I'll probably have more stories to share with you as we get closer and closer to the big rally.  Guess how many days I have to wait?  Just 67 more days . . . WOOHOO . . . it soon will be rally-time again!!

Have a great weekend and remember . . .

Airstream Butts

Yaaaaawwwwnnnnnnn . . .  oops, you caught me yawning campers.  I'm just having a little snooze to get me through the winter.  I'm not a big fan of December, January, and February.  Momma Sharon has me locked up and propped up for my long winter's nap.  But the good news is that in March she'll have me spruced up and ready to hit the road for our first trip together in 2013!  I can't wait!!

I've got something neat to show you this morning.  Over on Facebook I saw the coolest photo of Airstream butts.  It's actually three dozen photos of Airstreams taken from their bumper end.  My friend the Silvermine is an Airstream, but I don't think her derriere is featured.

I told Momma Sharon that at the next Blue Ridge Rally, she should take three dozen photos of T@B butts and make a poster!  The thought of that just cracks me up!!  T@B butts . . . LOL!!!

OK campers, that's all for today.  Keep thinking those happy thoughts and remember . . .
